@ifeyminaj11 years ago Could you use blackcurrent instead of zobo leaves.
  • @
@myrrdyn12 years ago Wow, here in italy it' s usually used pure, just the leaves in infusion. It was somewhat more popular ~50 years ago but you can easily find it (called hibiscus or karkad)

@FloChinyere12 years ago I prepare my zobo purely as a herbal drink that' s why i add ginger and garlic for theirproperties but you can skip them if you want. I' m sure your mum has good reasons for leaving them to soak 1 - 2 days before straining. If i can strain and wringe it when it is still hot, i would because i believe that' s when all the juice in the pineapple and the zobo petals will come out:. ...Expand

@FloChinyere12 years ago Pineapple goes really well with zobo because it does not clash with its sour taste. No i don' t add sugar because i prefer its sour/biting natural taste: you' re welcome.

  • @
@FloChinyere12 years ago No, mine is not spicy because the quantity of ginger i added is not enough to make it so. Zobo has a sour/biting taste and withoutflavours, it is not sweet at all.
