*Select tender chirraku leaves.
Clean the leaves along with stems.
Discard the stems if they are not tender.
*in a pressure add 1 cup toordal,
and wash and add 2 1/2 cup water.
*Wash leaves nicely with water
and chop them finely and
add in pressure cooker.
*take green chillies, tomato and
wash and chop and add in
pressure cooker.
*and place small lemon size washed
tamarind, add pinch turmeric.
*and pressure cook for 3 whistles
on medium heat.
*Once cool, remove the lid.
cooked well. mix well.
*add salt to taste, mix well.
*add water to adjust the
consistency.
*in a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and add
1/2 tsp mustard seeds, cumin seeds,
5-7 methi seeds, pinch hing,
few curry leaves, 1 dried red chilli.
allow to splutter.
*add tadka over tha dal
and mix well.
and cook for 5 -7 mins.
*chirraku pappu is ready.
serve hot with a dollop of ghee
on hot steamed rice.
