@maryamal-haddad49043 years ago There really is a need for Muslim women to protect themselves in this society, I became aware of the importance of self defense at the age of 9, I took up Tae Kwon do when i was a child. But later dropped out due to schedule timings.
Listen!, Self defense is something that was actually encouraged by the prophet Muhammad more than sports and games. This is simply because it is useful in real life situations. Just make sure you wear loose clothing to cover modestly, gotta keep it halal. ... 256

I suggest all Muslim in Canada learn martial art like MMA. At least you got some stamina, strength and awareness in dangerous situation. Jog/run to increase your stamina. It is good for your health too. Bring together pepper spray, you can't fight bare hand vs knife attacker and everything surround you can be your weapon to defend yourself.
If you don't learn martial art, higher chance you got no idea what to do during the situation. Don't hope for others to protect you. Always be prepared! ...
