Phillip Patterson has been a nurse for 40 years, including when HIV/AIDS was a major issue. Phillip details his experiences, as a nurse, as a young gay man, and as a patient's advocate, giving us insight as to how his profession were treated simply because they chose to care for HIV/AIDS patients, and whether what he witnessed is accurately portrayed in the recent TV series, It's a Sin, and the 2015 Australian Film, Holding the Man.
